Introduction to Protective Security and Security & Risk Management (ACT)

Agencies must provide all staff, including contractors, with sufficient information and security awareness training to ensure they are aware and meet the requirements of the Protective Security Policy Framework.

Australian Forensic Services has developed a 3-day course to assist agencies and contractors in meeting that requirement.

The 3-day course is delivered face to face and addresses:

  • PSPF core policies of Personnel, Physical and Information Security in a Government context
  • Introductory to Security Risk Management.

Candidates who successfully complete this training will be awarded a Statement of Attainment for:

  • PSPSEC005 Undertake government security risk analysis and
  • PSPSEC006 Implement security risk treatments

These units form part of the PSP40316 Certificate IV in Government Security.
